Huawei is expected to announce Huawei Maimang 5 smartphone on July 14 at an event in China. Huawei Maimang 5 is basically the smaller or mini version of Huawei Mate 8 and successor of Maimang 4 (or the G8). Today, TENAA has listed a new smartphone with model number HUAWEI MLA-TL00 which we think is same as Maimang 5.
As per TENAA listing, it sports a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p display and is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor with 3 GB of RAM. Earlier leak at Weibo has suggested a 4 GB RAM variant of the smartphone (Check the image below) and we too expect Huawei to announce the 4 GB variant. The leaked image suggests a 4 GB RAM + 64 GB internal storage variant.
It comes with 32 GB of internal storage with support for expandable storage via microsd card up to 128 GB and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. In terms of camera, it comes with 16 MP main rear camera and a 8 MP front shooter.
The phone is backed by a battery of 3270 mAh capacity ( Battery capacity is mentioned as 3340 mAh under box contents section). It measures 151.8 x 75.7 × 7.3 (mm) and weighs 160 grams. It will be available in Silver color. In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE with VOLTE, WiFi and Bluetooth.
