Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 5 in August 2017 during an event in China. Redmi Note 5A sports a 720p HD display, powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425/435 Mobile Platform along with 2GB / 3GB of RAM & 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. Even though Xiaomi announced Redmi Note 5A, it is yet to announce the Redmi Note 5 which is expected to come with better hardware specifications compared to Note 5A.
Today alleged real images of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 have surfaced on Chinese social network Weibo revealing the back panel of the device. These real images show alleged Redmi Note 5 inside a casing, yet reveal the dual camera module at the rear and the fingerprint sensor below the camera module.
Apart from the image above, some other real-life images have surfaced which show the device being used to take pictures during a Xiaomi event.
Based on the rumours, Redmi Note 5 may be powered by either of the 14nm Qualcomm chipsets i.e. Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660 along with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB of internal storage. In terms of battery, it may be backed by a 3,790 mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support to make it slim up to 7.5mm. In terms of camera, it may come with a 13MP front shooter selfie camera, whereas in terms of connectivity it may use a Type-C port instead of MicroUSB port.
