The version number of the update is 17.1810.1910.63. It’s stil Zen UI, but with a near stock like experience.
The update adds gesture navigation support just like the one which the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T got recently. Another important feature is that it adds Google Play System update for the Zenfone 6.
If you remember, Google announced that Android 10 would support system updates through the Play Store, and that is now available on the flagship phone. Another awaited feature that arrived with the Android 10 update for ASUS 6Z is Dark Mode.
The Android 10 update for ASUS 6Z is about 810MB to download. We couldn’t find the new version at the ASUS support portals, but XDA reports that the update was released in India and the US. According to a reddit thread, the Android 10 update for Zenfone 6 is available in Canada as well.
Early reviews indicate that the update has improved the phone’s performance, and there are aesthetical changes as well, such as new icons in the notification shade. It seems to be a staged roll out, so you may have to wait a few days to get the update.
