The Android 10 Update for Mi 9T has been released. Is it a beta version or is it a stable?
Xiaomi is calling it a MIUI Beta Stable. Don’t ask us what that’s supposed to mean. Even the Poco F1 update is reportedly a beta stable.
Android 10 Update for Mi 9T Global variant – What’s new
Aside from the OS version jump from Android 9 Pie to Android 10, the phone has been updated to the January Android Security Patch from Google. App vault now has a music card option. A bug with the status bar and notification shade not working in Second Space has been resolved. Image overlapping in screenshots has also been resolved.
The version number of the Android 10 Update for Redmi K20 is V11.0.4.0.QFJMIXM. The full download size of the update is about 2.2GB.
The update is rolling out to the global version, we haven’t received it on our Indian model, i.e., the Redmi K20.

DO NOT try to update your Redmi K20 (Indian or Chinese) with this ROM. This is the global version.
One of the new features is the Vlog mode in the camera. User reviews at MI Community and XDA suggest that 4K video recording at 30fps with EIS is smooth. Some reports say that the battery life has been improved, and the overall MIUI experience is fast.
The update is rolling out to users randomly, and some Indian users have also received it. So, it appears to be a staged release. If you haven’t received it yet, you can manually check for updates, or wait for the widespread roll out to begin.
