Nokia has released the Android 10 Update for Nokia 3.1. The new version arrives considerably late, it was originally scheduled to be made available in Q2 2020 as per the official roadmap.
The HMD Global-owned company had announced a revamped schedule after delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Nokia 3.1 had been announced in May 2018, with Android 8 Oreo. The budget friendly smartphone was updated to Android 9 Pie in May 2019. And now it has received its 2nd major OS upgrade with the latest version. It remains unclear whether the phone will get further OS updates.
An official change log for the Android 10 Update for Nokia 3.1 has not been revealed, but based on the company’s update track record it should offer the full stock Android experience including support for Dark Mode, gesture based navigation, improved controls for privacy and security, and more.
Android 10 Update for Nokia 3.1 rollout
According to the official announcement, the update is being rolled out in batches. Wave 1 is available in the following countries:

- Belarus
- Georgia
- India
- Kazakhstan
- Laos
- Malaysia
- Mongolia
- Morocco
- Nepal
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Sri Lanka
- Thailand
- Tunisia

- Uzbekistan
- Vietnam
The Android 10 Update for Nokia 3.1 is being seeded in 10% of the above mentioned Countries as of now, and should reach 50% of users by October 10th. It will be available to all users from October 12th.
Nokia’s CEO Juho Sarvikas has hinted on Twitter, that the Android 10 Update for Nokia 5.1 will be released soon.
