Realme has announced that it has begun rolling out the Android 10 Update for Realme 2 Pro in India. The firmware comes with realme UI on top.
What’s new in the Android 10 Update for Realme 2 Pro
According to the change-log, the update brings all of realme UI’s features including the new OS design, smart sidebar, floating window, 3-fingerscreenshot, navigational gestures, focus mode, new live wallpapers, artistic wallpapers.
You can enable the Random MAC address generator option which prevents targeted ads to protect your privacy, when connected to Wi-Fi networks. Improvements have been made to the homescreen, camera appm quick settings, weather, search, etc. The Android 10 Update for Realme 2 Pro adds support for realme Share, that allows you to share files with OPPO, VIVO and Xiaomi devices.
The version number of the Android 10 Update for Realme 2 Pro is RMX1821EX_11.F.08. Users who have updated to RMX1801EX_11.F.07 will get a bug fix package that bumps the number to RMX1821EX_11.F.08.
The Android 10 Update for Realme 2 Pro download size is about 2.95GB. The Google Camera app aka GCAM is not compatible with Realme UI. To fix it, you will need to go to Settings > Developer Options > and select Camera HAL3, and restart the phone. The company has provided a download link for the GCAM apk that you can find on the official announcement page.
Realme has not provided the manual download link on its software update page, but says it will be available soon.
