The Android 10 Update for Samsung Galaxy M40 is rolling out in India. The OTA arrives as per the roadmap schedule announced by the company earlier.
With this release the company has updated three of its Galaxy M series phones to Android 10. The first two were the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30, that were updated about in December 2019.

Surprisingly, the firmware comes with the latest fixes from Google, aka the March Android Security Patch.
The update brings the One UI Core 2.0 to the device. In case you didn’t know, this is a toned down version of One UI 2.0 that’s lacking some features. That said it does include all the Android 10 features including refined location permission controls, Dark Mode, Focus Mode, etc
The Android 10 Update for Samsung Galaxy M40 is being seeded by the company and many users at the official forums have already reported that they have received it on their device.
The version number of the Android 10 Update for Samsung Galaxy M40 is M405FDDU2BTB5. The update is about 1.7GB to download.
This concludes round 1 of Samsung’s Android 10 Updates, the second phase will begin in the next quarter beginning April. As per the roadmap, the next set of updates will be focused on the Galaxy A series and Galaxy J series phones.
