Xiaomi isn’t known for its Android OS upgrades, in fact it is one of the things that the company is often criticized for. But, in what seems to be a new turn, it has begun rolling out the Android 11 Update for Redmi Note 9 in India.
Google had announced the latest version of its mobile operating system in September, and Xiaomi patching its phones to the latest version in less than 3 months is all the more impressive.
The Note 9 Pro had been launched with Android 10 earlier this year with the company’s MIUI 11 on top. The phone was then updated to MIUI 12 based on Android 10. About a month ago, the Note 9 Pro was patched with a new firmware version with the number V12.0.1.0.QJWINXM.
