The Android 11 Update for Samsung Galaxy M31 with One UI 3.0 is now available for users. The company has been quite impressive when it comes to providing OS updates across the Galaxy S, M, and A series of devices. Let’s find out more about what the Galaxy M31 gets from the new OTA.

The update brings One UI 3.0 to the mid-range phone. The software has an overhauled interface with better animations and improvements to the performance and the battery consumption. The firmware version of the update is M315FXXU2BUAC/ M315FODM2BUAC/ M315FDDU2BUAA. It includes all features from Android 11 including the new permission controls system that enables one-time permissions, location controls, etc.
The Quick Settings panel has been revamped, and there are new options for Dynamic Lock Screen images, widgets, Always On Display. You can now set a call background and choose from a picture or a video. Samsung stock apps such as the Keyboard, Internet have also been upgraded. The keyboard app now supports 370 languages. It has new emoji and sticker suggestions that appear when you add a text emoticon. Samsung has patched the Camera app which now lets you take pictures faster with improved autofocus and auto exposure. The Gallery app has also been improved, and has new search and categories. It is now easier to edit pictures, and also allows you to revert to the original version of a photo even if you edited and saved the image.
The Android 11 Update for Samsung Galaxy M31 weighs about 408MB to download. It also brings the January 2021 Security Update for the device.
