Samsung is rolling out the Android 12 Update for Galaxy Fold 5G. The release comes a couple of weeks after it was seeded to the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip.
What’s new in the Android 12 Update for Galaxy Fold 5G
The foldable phone was launched with Android 9 in 2019, and has since been updated to Android 10, 11 and now, 12. The software update ships with One UI 4.0 based on Android 12. It brings the January 2022 Security Patch from Google’s monthly security bulletin.
The firmware’s version number is F907BXXU6GULB. If you have not received the notification for the OTA, you can check for the update manually by navigating to the Settings > Software Update screen, and then tapping on the Download and install option.
The Android 12 Update for Galaxy Fold 5G is available for users in the UK, but SamMobile reports that the firmware could be released in other Countries soon.
As per the official Samsung Roadmap, the Android 12 update will be released for the following phones this month: Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, Galaxy Z Fold2 4G, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G.
