Samsung is rolling out the Android 12 Update for Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Fold. The company has already released the One UI 4.0 OTA update for the Note 10 series globally, the new firmware is shipping to users in North America.
What’s new in the Android 12 Update for Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Z Flip, and Galaxy Fold
The firmware is based on One UI 4.0 with a new UI design. The software upgrade ships with new stock apps, widgets. Samsung has improved the Bixby assistant, Bixby routines. Other important changes in the new firmware include support for the Material You design, improvements for the Always-on Display, Dark Mode.
The One UI 4.0 update brings the January Security patch for all three devices. It includes the new privacy controls in Android 12 such as the privacy indicators that re displayed when apps are accessing your phone’s camera, microphone and location. Use the Privacy Dashboard to see which apps are accessing the sensors, how often they do it, etc.
The Android 12 Update for Galaxy Note 10 has the version number N97xUSQU7GULD for carrier-locked models. Unlocked Note 10 devices will get the firmware build N97xU1UEU7GULD. SamMobile reports that the software is also rolling out to users in Canada, and has the firmware number N97xWVLU7GULD.
The One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy Z Flip has the firmware version F700U1UEU4FUL9, while the unlocked Galaxy Fold is reportedly getting the build number F900U1UEU6GUL9.
The Android 12 Update is also available for the Galaxy Fold 5G, and the Galaxy A42. Check the official roadmap to know when your phone will get the update.
