Realme has released the Android 12 Update for Realme GT NEO 2 for users in India.
What’s new in the Android 12 Update for Realme GT NEO 2
The firmware is based on realme UI 3.0. It brings a new design with cleaner visuals, improved page layouts, colours, redesigned icons. The update features over 300 animations with the Quantum Animation Engine 3.0.
The auto-brightness algorithm has been optimized to support more scenes. Always-On Display supports realmeow and Portrait silhouette for customization options.
Users can use the Background stream mode to allow apps to continue playing the audio of a video, when switching to a different app, or after locking the phone. FlexDrop has been renamed to Flexible Windows. It supports switching between floating windows of different sizes. The Android 12 Update for Realme GT Neo2 adds a new option that lets users drag a file from My Files, or a photo from the Photos app to a floating window.
The operating system comes with Quick launch, to pre-load frequently used apps, to allow them to be opened quickly. The quick toggles for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, and NFC have been optimized. The software’s battery usage screen has a new stats chart. The Phone Manager app is now home to the settings for Privacy protection, Passwords, and Emergency call.
The update improves the gaming experience by providing a stable frame rate, while reducing the CPU load average and battery usage. The camera app can be customized to display only the modes that you want to use. The Zoom slider supports drag gesture, for zooming in or out smoothly while recording a video with the rear camera.
Realme GT Neo 2 users need to be on firmware version RMX3370_11.A.08, to receive the Android 12 Update on their phones. The software is being seeded over-the-air (OTA), and will rollout in phases to all users over the coming days.
