It’s not even month have passed after Google rolled out Android 4.4.3 and we are in for a small surprise by Google. Google has started to roll out the next minor update to Android i.e Android 4.4.4 to Nexus devices and Factory images for the same are now available on Google servers.
Android 4.4.4 is now available for download for Nexus 4, 5, 7, and 10 via the Nexus Factory Image page from Google. At the moment there is not much detail available about this update except a small changelog and a Google+ post which tells us that Android 4.4.4 update is “Primarily addressing CVE-2014-0224,” which is a flaw discovered in OpenSSL after Heartbleed was widely publicized.
Apart from that, the update also addresses “some other (not quite as severe) security issues” and that an AOSP code drop should happen in “the next 48h”.
We will update you as and when we get more information about it.
