If you are on Verizon Wireless in United states and own one of these Motorola devices i.e DROID Ultra, Maxx, or Mini, then there is some good news for you. Owners of Motorola DROID Ultra, Maxx, and Mini have been awaiting the upgrade to Android 4.4 and it seems that they are being heard.
Verizon wireless in the United States is rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat operating system version to Motorola DROID ULTRA, DROID MINI, and DROID MAXX smartphones. If you own one of these devices then you can even download and install the updates without waiting for the OTA update to arrive.
Apart from the usual additional features that come with stock Android 4.4 KitKat OS upgrade, the new software release (available as version 12.7.7.OBAKE_VERIZON.VERIZON.EN.US) also brings series of other custom enhancements like improvements for ISIS Wallet, Group MMS message etc.
The roll-out though is as usual in stages, and hence will be arriving on your devices sooner or later. Just check if it has arrived on your device or not. You can check the availability of the update manually, by navigating to Settings > About phone > System updates > Download.
If the update has arrived on your device, hit the install now button and follow the on-screen prompts to finish the install.
