Here is some good news if you own a Zenfone 5 and have been waiting for Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update. ASUS is rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update to Zenfone 5 A500CG / A501CG models. ASUS did delay the Lollipop update, but later said that the updates will be rolled out much earlier than expected and it seems they are delivering on that promise.
The OTA update Version WW_3.23.40.52 (Android Lollipop) is approximately 700 MB in size. This update brings Lollipop to ASUS Zenfone 5. The upgrade though removes some pre-installed apps as listed below due to incompatibility issues.

- Google Text-To-Speech
- Movie Studio
- Cloud Print
- CMClient
- Magic Smoke Wallpapers
Some new apps and features are added with this upgrade such as SuperNote, Asus web storage , Remote Link, lockscreen etc. The full list of change-log and download details can be found here.
