We have heard about Android 5.1 Lollipop many times in the past few weeks.
It was first spotted on the Android One launched in Indonesia, followed by an announcement by Spice Mobiles, and more recently, a Geekbench record which showed a Nexus 5 running on Android 5.1.
But when is it coming really? According to HTC’s VP of Product Management,Mo Versi, the next major release of Android is coming in March.
The news comes via a tweet from Versi, who responded to a query from a HTC one M7 Google Play Edition user, who asked for an ETA for an update to fix the backlights bug. Versi responded by saying “It’ll be tied to Google’s next MR, which is in March. Thanks.”
Now this should suffice as concrete proof that the Android 5.1 Lollipop update is indeed coming out next month.
