According to Artem Russakovskii, from Android Police, Google maybe rolling out the next version of Android to the Nexus devices, this week.
The update will supposedly bring “Buttery Smoothness” back to Android devices, something that many users feel that Lollipop desperately needs.
Android 5.0 Lollipop has been widely criticized for being slow and buggy, and Russakovskii’s post suggests that Google themselves are struggling to fix some issues related to the battery. He also says that the update could be rolled out initially for the Nexus 7 2013 tablet, before hitting the other devices.
Nothing is certain though, so I’d advise taking this with a pinch of salt.
