Google has released the latest Android Distribution Numbers for the week ending December 7, 2015.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow now runs on 0.5% of devices, that’s not much but considering that it was only released a few months ago, it’s not a bad start.
The only devices which have officially been updated to Android 6.0, are mostly Nexus and Android One devices, with a few from LG, Motorola and other OEMS.
Marshmallow’ predecessor Lollipop boasts a usage share of 29.5%, and sits in second place to KitKat which continues to dominate the charts with 36.6% of devices. Jelly Bean surprisingly still amounts for 26.9% of devices. Ice Cream Sandwich with 2.9%, Gingerbread with 3.4%, and Froyo with 0.2% make up for the rest of the numbers.
