Motorola has officially announced that it has begun rolling out the much awaited Marshmallow update, for its 2nd Gen Moto G, in India.
The Lenovo owned company had previously released the firmware update for its 2015 devices, including the Moto X Play, the Moto X Style and the Moto G 3rd Gen, last year.
Marshmallow should fix the annoying RAM leak problems which were introduced in Lollipop, as well as add new features like the Doze mode, which prevents battery drain, by putting apps to sleep when they are not in use. IT also introduces App Permissions, Now on Tap, support for expandable storage and much more.
You can read the full change log at the official support page at Motorola India‘s website.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto G 2nd gen is being seeded currently, and should reach all users in India soon. It goes without saying that Moto G 2nd Gen XT 1068 users should be on the official stock Lollipop ROM, with an unmodified /system partition (no root), with the Stock Recovery to install the update.
