Google is holding an event at its San Francisco headquarters on September 29th.
We have seen that the invite for it suggests the launch of Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
It usually takes a while for Google to release the source code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and to OEMs, who will then port the version of Android into their own custom OS. But this is not the case with Google Nexus devices, as they are the first to get a taste of the operating system.
And this time, it appears that the new version of Android will hit Nexus devices within a week. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will roll out to Nexus 5 and the Nexus 6 on October 5th. The news comes from Telus, a Canadian carrier, whose timeline chart for the Android software update can be seen in the image embedded above.
