Google has published the latest Android Distribution Numbers (for April 2016), and it saw the latest version of its mobile operating system double its numbers from last month.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow usage hit 4.6%, up from 2.3% in March.
But its not all good news, this month’s Android Dashboard shows that Lollipop still reigns supreme with 35.8% (down from 36.1%), whilw KitKat also saw its numbers drop from 34.3% to 33.4%.
JellyBean dropped 1%, to 21.3% from the 22.3% it held earlier. Ice Cream Sandwich has 2.2%, which saw a mere 0.1% drop from 2.3%. Gingerbread was the only one of the lot to hold on to its numbers, a steady 2.6%.
With Android N already in preview, it is likely that the growth of Android Marshmallow will be slower than all of its predecessors.
