Today Realme CEO Madhav seth has confirmed that they are now rolling out the Android Pie update after fixing the bootloop bug.

The community forum posts includes more details about the update and the bootloop fix. It also confirm the initial hicupps with the rollout of update initially that resulted in bootloops. As usual, this is a phased roll out and users may have to wait for 1-2 weeks before it reaches everyone.
Realme 2 Pro Android Pie Update may have been pulled due to bugs
The Android Pie Update for Realme 2 Pro has been released. The news comes straight from the horse’s mouth.
Realme CEO, Madhav Seth, took to Twitter to announce the release of the update. The rollout fulfils part of the promise that the company made in December 2018.
To recap, Realme had declared that it would be updating all of its devices to Android Pie by the end of June 2019. The Realme 2 Pro was launched in September 2018, with ColorOS 5.2 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
What’s new in Android Pie Update for Realme 2 Pro
The Pie Update for Realme 2 Pro comes with ColorOS 6 and has the build number RMX1801EX_11.A.20.
According to the release notes, the update brings notification icons in the status bar. Yes, you read that correctly, prior to this the phone only displayed banners.
There is a new “lock screen magazine”, a navigation gesture, and a riding mode. The Realme 2 Pro now has an app drawer in the ColorOS launcher, and also supports live wallpapers. The firmware also includes the May 2019 Android Security Patch.
Chroma Boost Mode and HAL3 support have been added to the camera app. You will need to enable developer options for the latter.
The Android Pie Update for Realme 2 Pro weighs about 2.61GB to download. The update is being seeded, and will be rolled out in batches. But if you can’t wait for it, the company says you can download the Pie Update manually from the official website.

Except that you can’t download it, because the Realme 2 Pro is not listed on the page. It appears that there are some bugs in the update. Several users on the Realme community have reported that they are experiencing bootloops, with the phone stuck on the Realme logo screen.
Twitter users AjayKaushik1022 and Navjot3333 even posted photos of their phone stuck on the same screen for hours past the update.

Realme has acknowledged the issue, and has posted a message on the announcement page and has included a fix for the issue.
