A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Angry Birds 2 will be coming to Android soon.
And Rovio has delivered on its promise, by releasing the game today.
The Angry Birds 2 is apparently the sequel to the original Angry Birds game, which put the company on the global map and resulted in the franchise expanding to over a dozen spin-offs.
Angry Birds 2 lets you choose your Bird, and you can earn extra birds by filling up the Destruct-O-Meter, which you can do by destroying the various objects in the environment. You can also use spells like Blizzards, Hot Chilis, Golden Ducks which give you an upper hand wing in your quest to defeat the pigs.
There are various levels in the game, some of which have multiple stages. Foreman Pig, Chef Pig and the King Pig are among the boss pigs whom you will have to defeat in the game.
The graphics appear to be hand-drawn, which looks good, but we were expecting a 3D game, because the teaser trailer suggested one.
Oh, and the game features a multiplayer arena as well.
And here is the official Angry Birds 2 gameplay trailer:
You can download Angry Birds 2 for free from the Google Play Store.

The game unfortunately has Hearts (lives), and if you lose one, will require a refill which happens over time.
Rovio is hoping this game will help it overcome it’s financial issues, but given the state of IAPs and timers, it is unlikely.
