ASUS have launched the third tablet in the Fonepad 7 series.
And it’s not just a tablet, its a Dual SIM with some impressive specs and an afforsable price tag.
The ASUS Fonepad 7 features a & 7″ 1280×800 IPS display and runs on an INTEL Atom Z2520 1.2GHz Dual Core Processor. The device’s graphics are powered by a PowerVR SGX544MP2 Graphics 300MHZ chipset. The major change in the Fonepad series, is that this tablet comes with support for Dual SIM cards, (micro SIM), with 3G support.
The Fonepad 7 Dual SIM also comes with Dual Cameras, a % Megapixel shooter on the rear and a modest 1.2 Megapixel camera on the front. The device supports a 100-shot burst mode too. You can can edit and organize your pictures with the Studio application,
The tablet also comes with some other useful applications such as SuperNote which lets you read, type, scribble text as well as create multimedia notes with images and videos. Another useful feature is the Floating app, which like multiwindow, allows you switch between apps easily.

ASUS have announced that an Android 4.4 KitKat update is scheduled for May.
The tablet will be available in two colours, Gray and White. It will be priced at Rs. 12999 and will be available from all major retail outlets and ASUS exclusive Stores from tomorrow.
So, all things considered, this is a pretty impressive device, which should compete with the Google Nexus 7, also made by ASUS.
