ASUS has launched the ROG Phone 5s series in India. The flagship gaming phones boast some top-of-the-line hardware.
Both devices in the ROG Phone 5s series sport a 6.78-inches Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a screen resolution of 2448 x 1080 pixels, 144Hz Refresh Rate, HDR10+, 360Hz Touch Sampling Rate, and 1200 Nits Brightness. The display has an In-display Fingerprint Reader, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and supports DC Dimming, Delta E<1 Colour Accuracy, + ROG Vision Aura RGB for Notifications.
The ROG Phone 5s Pro has a ROG Vision rear matrix colour AMOLED display on the rear, with Rear Touch Sensors. The phones, surprisingly, don’t ship with Android 12 out of the box, and instead run on Android 11 with ROG UI.
Both variants are powered by a 3.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, with an Adreno 660 GPU and a GameCool 5 Cooling System. The devices are available in various trims with up to 8GB/12GB/18GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 128GB/256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
ASUS has packed a 6,000 mAh battery on the phones which can be charged via Dual USB Type-C ports. The devices include a 65W HyperCharge Adapter in the box that supports, QC 5.0 Fast Charging (up to 65W) MMT.
The selfie lens on the front is a 24 megapixels camera with 27mm focal length. The rear cameras comprise a 64MP Sony IMX 686 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 1.6um Pixel size, a 13MP Ultra-wide angle sensor, a 5MP Macro sensor, and an LED Flash.
Aside from the usual sensors such as an Accelerator/E-Compass/Gyroscope/Proximity sensor/Ambient light sensor, the ROG Phone 5s also features ultrasonic AirTriggers for gaming.
The phones support Dual SIM cards with 5G + 5G, 4G VoLTE mobile network compatibility, WiFi 6 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GLONASS/QZSS/BeidouS/NavIC/GALILEO/GNSS/GPS connectivity options. The devices have Dual stereo speakers, 3.5mm headphone jack, an ESS DAC 9280AC Pro, and support Hi-Res Audio. The gaming handsets will be available in 2 colourways: Phantom Black and Storm White. The phones weigh 238g and measure 173 x 77 x 9.90mm.

ASUS ROG Phone 5S price in India
The ROG Phone 5s price starts at Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, while the 12GB/256 GB will cost Rs. 57,999. The ASUS ROG Phone 5s Pro with 18GB/512GB carries a price tag of Rs. 79,999. The devices will be available on Flipkart from 18th February.
