ASUS has announced that it is rolling out an FOTA (Firmware-Over-The-Air) for its recently launched Zenfone 2 devices.
The update seems to be have built on April 25th as the firmware version is LRX21V.WW-ASUS_Z00A-2.15.40/10_20150425_1396_user.
ASUS says that the update fixes a bug related to using the Volume key for the camera and improves the quality of the Zenfone 2’s camera. The new firmware also improves the device’s memory usage and also includes some stability improvements.
Other changes under the hood includes:
- APN Table Update
- Improvements to the Power/Battery UI, Browser WebView compatibility, Double Tap
- Fixes for Miracast/RalShow, Ultra Saving Mode, Crashes related to Android System Webview
- Additions: Auto Start Manager shortcut on Home +1
- Quick Memo has been changed to Auto Start Manager in Quick Settings.
- Updated graphics driver.
You can manually check for the update on your Zenfone 2, by navigating to Settings > About > System update > Check Update.
ASUS has also announced a new Lollipop Update Roadmap for the Zenfone 4, 5, 5 LTE, 6 and Padfone S today.
