ASUS has uploaded a new video teaser for the Zenfone 2.
And its over ten minutes long.
It begins by showing off photos taken using the Zenfone 2, building on its tagline of “See What Others Can’t See”. The video then moves on to describe the ergonomics and the ARC design of the phone, and it’s manufacturing process.
It also talks about how the Zenfone 2’s bezels have been reduced to give a 72% body to screen ratio, and carries on to more technical details about the display and it’s TruVivid technology. The video also highlights the phone’s covers, which includes interchangeable back covers which comes in 5 colours, two 3D covers, and the View Flip Cover.
The video then focuses on the PixelMaster camera, and the features of the 13 Megapixel camera with an F2.0 aperture and Dual Flash LED, which the phone sports on the rear. The company claims that the Super Resolution will provide an image quality equivalent to that of a 52 Mepagixel photo, and that the manual mode is like having a DSLR.The video then explains about the Zenfone 2’s 5 megapixel front camera with a wide angle lens, and it’s features.
The ASUS ZenUI has several customization options including wallpapers, transistions, themes, animated calendar, clock, weather icons and more. The phone has a One Hand Operation Mode, which can be accessed by double tapping the home button. The phone has Touch Gestures, which can be drawn on the screen, while the display is off. It will trigger shortcuts to different apps. Users can also wake up the phone’s display by tapping on it. (like LG Knock-On?)
The phone comes with Trend Micro protection which blocks malicious websites when you use the ASUS Browser app. It also has SnapView for privacy and Kids Mode to protect young users from inappropriate content and apps. All of ASUS apps will be available on the Google Play Store for providing easier updates.
The video then focuses on the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, which powers the Zenfone 2. It’s CPU is 3 times faster and it’s GPU is 7 times faster than the Zenfone 5’s CPU and GPU. The phone also uses BoostMaster technology for fast charging of the 3,000 mAh battery.
The video also introduces ASUS ZenPower, the company’s new powerbank (looks almost like the Mi Powerbank)
