Yesterday, the ASUS Zenfone 2 went on sale at the company’s online store in Taiwan.
But only the 2GB RAM variant of the phone was made officially available, while the price of it’s bigger brother was leaked.
And now, Gizmochina reports that the company has begun teasing the launch of the 4GB RAM variant in China. ASUS posted a teaser image (seen above) on it’s Weibo account which says the higher end flagship device would be launched on March 24th.
The company released three other variants of the ASUS Zenfone 2 in Taiwan yesterday:
- The ZE500CL – 5″ HD Display, Intel Atom Z2560 1.6GHz Processor, with 2GB of RAM priced at NT$ 4,990 (approx $160 USD or 10,000 INR).
- The ZE550ML – 5.5″ HD Display, Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz Processor, and 2GB of RAM priced at NT$ 5,990 (approx $190 USD or 12,000 INR)
- The ZE551ML – 5.5″ Full HD Display, powered by an Intel Atom Z3560 1.8GHz processor and 2GB of RAM priced at NT$ 6,990 (approx $220 USD or 14,000 INR).
All four variants are expected to be launched in China, and with similar price tags of their Taiwanese counterparts. The 4GB variant is rumoured to be priced at NT$ 8,990 (approx $285 USD or 18,000 INR).
The ASUS Zenfone 2 is rumoured to be launching in India, on March 31st.
