ASUS has finally delivered on it’s promise to update the Zenfone 5 to KitKat by releasing the OTA update today.
The update has already begun seeding to users, and we were able to download and install it on our Zenfone 5 today.
Prior to receiving the 443 MB KitKat update, we received a minor system stability update which was 20 MB in size.
Here are some screenshots from the new version: (you can read our previous post for the full change log)
We also ran a benchmark test using Antutu, and here are the results.
Of course, you mustn’t take these results for granted, as the performance may vary.
If you haven’t received the update yet, navigate to Settings > About Phone > Check for Updates to download the Android 4.4.2 update on your Zenfone 5.
Update: Here is the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Download and copy it to your phone’s root folder on the internal storage, and it should prompt you to install the system update. Please download the appropriate version (i.e, WW, TW, CN).
