Asus is set to announce their next generation of smartphones in Zenfone 5 series at an event on 27th February at the Mobile World Congress MWC 2018. Even though we are still few weeks away from the official launch, one of the Zenfone 5 devices has leaked thanks to @evleaks. @evleaks has leaked the render images of Asus Zenfone 5 Lite revealing the full design of the device and also the details about the front & rear camera module details along with the display resolution.
The leak reveals that Asus Zenfone 5 Lite come with two dual cameras i.e. dual camera modules both at front and rear. Zenfone 5 Lite features a dual camera module at front with 20MP + 20MP sensors for selfies & video calls, while on the rear it features another dual camera module featuring 16MP + 16MP sensors. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear panel just below the dual camera module. Coming to the screen, the leak reveals that Zenfone 5 Lite features a 18:9 display with a Full HD+ resolution with no buttons on the front.
At the moment, there is no information on other specifications of the device, but considering the fact that it is the Lite variant, you can expect entry level specifications in terms of processor powering the device. The Volume rockers and Power buttons are on same side, while the 3.5mm audio jack is visible at the top.
By offering four cameras i.e. dual cameras both and front, Asus is trying to enter the hugely popular selfie cameras segments at moderate price which brands like Oppo & Vivo are dominating at the moment in markets such as India and China inspite of higher prices.
