ASUS has rolled out a system update which adds some new features to the Zenfone 5.
Just to be clear, it is NOT the Android Lollipop update.
The firmware version is 2.22.40.53_20150512.
Battery Draining Detection and AutoStart Manager:
The first new feature is Battery Draining Detection. You can use this feature to be notified of battery draining apps. It isn’t a separate app, rather just an option in the OS settings. Battery Draining Detection is enabled by default, but you can disable it under the Battery settings.
The other new feature, is called AutoStart Manager. And as the name suggests, you can use the AutoStart Manager to disable apps from auto-starting. This helps save the battery and memory (RAM).
The update has already been rolled out to users, and all of the above screenshots are from our Indian Zenfone 5.
