ASUS India has announced that it has released a new Android Wear Update, for its Zenwatch 2.
The update adds support for many new features.
This includes support for the Zenwatch 2’s built-in speaker, which now allows you to make phone calls when the wearable is paired with your phone, and also set audible alarms and hear notification alerts and sound effects. You can also play video and audio messages with apps like Glide.
The watch now supports Google’s Android Wear Wrist Gestures, to navigate through content like cards, apps, return to the watch face, etc. You can also use a gesture to switch to the ambient display mode, for privacy and battery saving. This screen dimming gesture can be activated by simply ḷowering the wrist.
How to update the ASUS ZenWatch 2
Simply connect the watch to the charger, pair it with your phone via bluetooth, and connect the phone to the internet, to get the update notification.

Pair the Zenwatch 2 with a phone running Android 4.3 or iOS 8.2 o above, and swipe left from the watch face. Navigate to the Settings > About > System updates to get the update.
The Android Wear Update is now available for ASUS ZenWatch 2 WI501Q & WI502Q variants.
