If you own HTC one X+ smartphone from AT&T, here is some good news for you. AT&T is rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OTA Update with Sense 5 to HTC One X+ devices. With this news, though, comes a bad news too. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OTA Update with Sense 5 will be the last update that AT&T HTC One X+ will recieve which means that the device will never get and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or Android 4.4 Kitkat update from AT&T. In simple terms, Android 4.2.2 is the end of the road for this Tegra 3-powered smartphone.
This update brings the usual Stock Android 4.2.2 goodies along with HTC one customised UI i.e Sense 5.
HTC one X users though should not be confused with this update. This update is only for targeted for One X+ only, whereas update for one X should follow next week.
As it happens with any update on Android, this a phased rollout and all HTC One X+ users may not receive Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update instantly. If you are one the device owners, you can check manually if the update is now available for your device or not by navigating to Settings >> AT&T Software Update >> Check for updates.
