An upcoming device from BlackBerry under the model name BBB100-1, aka the Mercury was spotted on benchmarking portal Geekbench revealing some of the basic hardware specifications. The geekbench listing indicated that it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system, powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 GB of RAM. Now the same device from BlackBerry i.e. BBB100-1, aka the Mercury has appeared on another benchmarking portal Gfxbench revealing some more details on hardware specifications.
As per gfxbench, BlackBerry Mercury comes with a 1620 x 1080 display powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core CPU i.e Snapdragon 625 along with 3 GB of RAM. Even though the listing indicates a size of 12.2 inch which in our opinion is wrong and the device may be in the range of 4.5 to 5 inches. We already have seen similar errors in the past on gfxbench when it comes to screen size. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based operating system.
The listing also includes the camera details of the device i.e. it comes with a 12 MP main rear camera which can record 4K videos and a 8 MP front shooter for selfies. The list of sensors indicate that it also comes with NFC support and is a single SIM device.
Rumors indicate that BlackBerry Mercury may come with a physical keyboard, with even the odd screen resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels indicating a 3:2 format for the display i.e. there may be enough room on the device to fit a physical keyboard.
At the moment we have no information on any ETA regarding its official launch. Take this leak with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
