The full tech specs of the BlackBerry Priv have been leaked.
So, without further ado, let’s dive right into it.
We already know from the official listing, that the PRIV will sport a Curved display, and the leak shows that the phone’s display is an 5.43 inch AMOLED, with a WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), with 540 DPI (Dots per inch), and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The phone will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and will be powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (MSM8992) processor with 3GB RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU clocked at 600MHz. The PRIV has 32GB of onboard storage and will support expandable memory up to 2TB via microSD cards, and is hot-swappable (remove any time).
The PRIV features an 18 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detect Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Dual LED Flash, 4K video recording (30fps), FullHD video (60fps), 4x digital zoom, and much more. The selfie lens is a meagre 2 megapixel front camera, with an f/2.8 aperture.
The highlight of the PRIV is its physical sliding keyboard.
Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, NFC, WiFi, USB 2.0.
The phone has a Nano SIM card slot, and comes with a slew of sensors: Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Time of Flight, Proximity, Ambient Light, Altimeter, Activity Monitor.
The Blackberry PRIV has the model number STV100-1, and measures at 147 x 77.2 x 9.4 mm in dimensions and weighs at 192g. The phone is backed by a 3410 mAh battery which supports quick charging.
Pricing and Availability:
The BlackBerry PRIV will cost a whopping $749 in the U.S, and will begin shipping on November 16th.
