BLU Products has just unveiled a new mid-range Android smartphone Vivo 4.8 HD for just $249 with Quad core CPU running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Vivo 4.8 HD is basically a colorful range of smartphones just like Nokia Lumia devices and Apple 5C. The device is available in neon pink or greenish yellow, along with matte black or white variants.
In terms of hardware, Vivo 4.8 HD features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280. It is powered by 1.5Ghz quad-core chip from Mediatek along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t support external micro SD cards and hence you can’t increase the storage capacity from 16GB using micro SD cards.
In terms of camera, Vivo 4.8 HD sports a 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device is quite thin with a thickness of just 6.9mm. One feature that many US users may miss if they want to buy this smartphone is that there’s no LTE inside on this smartphone.
The device is powered by a 2000 mAh Li-Ion Battery.
