One of the popular free twitter clients on Android “Carbon for Android” just received a big update and has been updated from 1.1.5.1 to 1.2.0.
This is the app’s first update since February and brings a lot of new features, changes and bugfixes
Widget
The update brings a very important feature, a home screen widget. It is a 4×1 widget for quick actions such as Search, Upload a photo and Tweeting.
In-App Browser and YouTube video playback
Other features which this update brings to Carbon for Android include an In-App Browser and in-app YouTube video playback. These two features are needed to make it a much better app as it gives you the ability to browse the web links and YouTube videos in tweets without leaving the app.
Apart from that, the the update also brings Vine videos Timeline Preview and playback from the App.
Image Previews
The app also gets a new Image viewer screen with the ability to preview JPEG, PNG URLs are on timelines itself. The update also add the option of Image Upload to Twitpic. The image/video previews on timeline can be enabled or disabled from the options menu.
More Customisation, Options and Bug fixes
