The Google Chrome team have updated the Beta version of their Android browser, bringing some improvements and fixing some bugs found in the previous version.
Here is the official change-log for the latest version:
Updated graphics architecture that greatly improves fast scrolling on large pages
163439 – yahoo.com page links are not working
166233 – Cannot submit comments on facebook posts or pictures
169616 – Keyboard pops up after Chrome is closed
170653 – Scroll position is reset momentarily when double-tapping in footer/gutter on some pages
I haven’t found any of the above issues with Chrome’s Beta versions, but its nice to know they keep improving their browser.
Unfortunately the new one still has several issues, most notably at the way it handles a website’s format.
Here is a list of the Known Issues:
Lower resolution/blurry content takes time to sharpen during rapid scrolling on certain websites.
Graphical corruption and flicker on some sites, particularly on maps.google.com (reloading the page can mitigate this issue).
Text autosizing may break formatting on some sites.
169918: Text selection and text input handles appear at incorrect positions
158633: Overaggressive tap disambiguation popup
Increased number of sad tabs/tab crashes.
