Google have updated the Chrome Browser for Android with two important features.
Google Translate & Fullscreen mode on Tablets
Google Translate:
The Translate feature has been available for a while on the Google Chrome Beta channel for Android. But they have added support for Translate in the recent update for the stable channel.
All you have to do is visit a website which isn’t in your system’s default language and Chrome will offer to Translate it for you. Tap the button and wait for it to translate it.
At first it failed to translate the webpage, and I clicked n the “Try again” button. It took about 30 seconds to translate the website from German to English on my phone. But it worked.
Fullscreen for Android Tablets:
This feature was also available on the beta version and recently added to the stable version .
After a webpage has finished loading, just scroll down for the addressbar to disappear. Poof!
They have also re-added support for right-to-left languages, (Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew).
