A couple of days back, Cyanogen and its CEO Steve Kondik wrote on Google+ that the Cyanogenmod Team is expanding.
The comments which followed the announcement were hilarious.
OnePlus One users frustrated with the delay of the CM12s for their device began criticizing Cyanogen sharply.
The jokes began with “team is expanding” for faster updates, but the focus shifted soon towards the CEO. Many fans poked fun at him, with one saying that the company should use the money to replace its CEO.
Kondik however remained calm and replied, stating that Cyanogen had submitted a new version, but that a new test suite which came out the same day, delayed the update.
The truth is that we’re just drunk and lazy. Seriously though, a new test suite came out because of MR1 literally the same day as we submitted, and so we had to redo the whole process with the new one.
A fan thanked him for the statement, to which Kondik replied, and indicated an ETA for CM12S
It’s just as frustrating for us because we are in scramble mode and really want to ship our hard work. Hopefully we’ll get the signoff in the next day or two. We’ll immediately send the OTA as soon as we get that email :)
Another user questioned if the CM12S certification would be completed within 2 Days or sooner?, to which, Kondik replied,
Should be. Takes about 4 days. Once it’s out I’ll probably write up a retrospect on everything that’s gone down along the way.
So there you go, CM12S for OnePlus should be available this week, hopefully on or before April 10th.
