The OS ships with the new Quantum Animation Engine featuring 300+ improved animations. The firmware includes optimizations for anti-fragmentation and intelligent resource allocation, which will help keep the system’s ageing rate to as low as 3% in 3 years, with 30% lower memory occupation, and 20% lower battery consumption.
The new OS includes improvements to the camera and will support Ultra Steady Video Shooting, HDR, and Super Wide-Angle. ColorOS 12 adds support for 3-Finger Translate powered by Google Lens. The One-tap power saving mode automatically detects apps that are using excessive battery power and offers you the best battery-saving plan, to help conserve the power. The new OS includes 24 Accessibility options including Color Vision Enhancement, which will adjust colors depending on your vision.
Use the Phone Manager to manage your storage, scan for malware, check for permissions, and delete unwanted data. Oppo’s PC Connect app lets you access your phone from your computer. Create Omojis (avatars) using the operating system’s Facial Capture Algorithms. The Always-On Display mode now lets you add Omojis to your lock screen.
