Fans of the side scrolling shoot em’up classic Contra will be pleased to know that the Android game, Contra: Evolution has gone free.
The game was released just eight months ago, and we are unsure why the developers have made it free.
But it could be because of the IAP system which the game uses. The game uses IAPs for many in-game items, which you can read about in our previous coverage from August 2013.
Besides the change in the price tag, the game has been updated to include the following.
New Elite Mode!New Upgrade System!Adjusted upgrade award items.Fixed bugs.

This move would clearly make the previous users who have bought the game unhappy, as there is no compensation of any sort.
