As we had reported, the collaboration of Coolpad and LeEco has resulted into a new brand name COOL and they have officially launched their first smartphone COOL1 at an event in China today. Cool1 sports a 5.5 inche Full HD 1080p display with a pixel density of 403 ppi and is powered by 1.8 GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 i.e MSM8976 processor along with Adreno 510 GPU . In terms of RAM and Storage capacity, three variants of Cool1 are announced today i.e. :
- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB Storage
- 4 GB RAM + 32 GB Storage
- 4 GB RAM + 64 GB Storage
Before the launch, company has teased about the smartphone dual camera setup. And now we know that it comes with dual 13 MP main rear dual camera setup with intelligent viewfinder, black color technology, BFC algorithm, simultaneous focus and dual 6P lens. When it comes to front camera, Cool1 comes with a 8 MP front shooter along with support for three-dimensional facial beauty features. It runs on LeEco EUI based on Android. AT the moment we are not sure of the Android version, but we expect it to be Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
It is backed by a massive 4060 mAh high density battery which comes with massive cell density of 700 Wh/L claimed as highest in industry. THe battery also supports intelligent power-saving and reverse charging i.e. you can also use it as power bank for other phones.
It comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back which can unlock the phone in 0.15 seconds and take a snap too using the fingerprint. IN terms of connectivity it comes with support for chinese Netcomm 4G and 4G with VOLTE support.
Cool1 pricing starts at 1099 YUan (~ Rs. 11,000 ) for the base version. The pricing for all the three variants of Cool1 are as follows:
- 3 GB RAM + 32 GB Storage : 1099 Yuan (~Rs. 11,000 or ~$165)
- 4 GB RAM + 32 GB Storage : 1499 Yuan (~Rs. 15,000 or ~$226)
- 4 GB RAM + 64 GB Storage : 1699 Yuan (~Rs. 17,000 or ~$256)
There is another 4 GB + 64 GB variant specific to Chinese Netcom which is priced at 1599 Yuan. At the moment we have no information of its global launch including India. We will keep you updated when we have any information about its launch in other countries.
