Microsoft has announced that its personal digital assistant, Cortana for Android will be released in July.
The Redmond company had previously hinted about Cortana for Android, in an announcement made in May.
However, the app will not released in June as anticipated, but only in the next month.
Cortana for Android will allow users to set reminders, and search for content. Users will also be able to ask Cortana questions, to which the app will reply in the language of the user.
Microsoft will be launching a Windows 10 this summer, and will include a Windows 10 Companion App, which will allow users to set up Cortana, Music,, OneDrive, OneNote, Skype, Outlook and Office apps on Android and iOS devices.
Will Cortana be able to draw users away from Google Now? Only time will tell us.
