ASUS has released the December Update for Zenfone Max Pro M1. Let’s see what the company has patched into the OTA.
What’s new in the December Update for Zenfone Max Pro M1
No, it’s not the Android 10 update, if that’s what you are waiting for, it could take longer to arrive.
ASUS has included the latest Android Security Patch in the update for the Max Pro M1. This is surprising considering companies like OnePlus haven’t included the December security patch for their devices in recent updates.
It also brings with it 2 much-needed fixes to the mid-range phone. Remember how the icons on the status bar were misaligned and some were placed slightly higher than the others? This bug has been fixed in the latest update.
The issue related to the camera app, i.e., when the focus circle wasn’t working, has also been addressed in the OTA.
The December Update for Zenfone Max Pro M1 has the version number WW-16.2017.1912.060. The OTA weighs about 185MB to download, and is currently being seeded to users, and will reach more users soon.
If you can’t wait for the update to reach you, the full firmware is available for download from the official website. It weighs about 1.53GB to download. Please be advised that this update is only for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 with the model number ZB602KL (WW version).
