Nintendo has announced the Dr. Mario World Android release date. The game is set to arrive on July 10th.
The game is a match-3 puzzler, where the objective is to match the colour of the capsule to the virus of the same colour. Eliminate all viruses before you run out of capsules to clear the level.
There will be 5 worlds during launch, but Nintendo has promised to add more in the future.
Dr. Mario isn’t the only doctor in the game, he will be joined by others like Dr. Yoshi, Dr. Peach, Dr. Bowser, Dr. Toad. They will accompanied by assistants like Goomba, Koopa Troopa, and Buzzy Beetle.
The Dr. Mario World Android version will be a free-to-play title. You know what that means, it will have micro-transactions aka IAPs aka a paywall. In this case, the game has a stamina meter which refills slowly over time. You can optionally buy diamonds to continue playing.
Each doctor in the game has a unique skill. You can also get powerups and items to help you clear stages. Some of these can be bought with coins which you can earn in the game.
Can I play the Dr. Mario World Android version offline?
No, the game requires a persistent internet connection, just like Super Mario Run and Fire Emblem Heroes.
