Motorola has officially announced that it will update the DROID Turbo to Android Lollipop soon.
The announcement came from the company’s Google+ account.
Well its about time. The phone which was launched last year is still running Android KitKat, which should be an embarrassment for the company, considering that Lollipop has been available for over 7 months, and the next version of the operating system, Android M is already in the works at Google’s offices.
This is what Motorola’s announcement says:
Thanks for your patience. We hope you’re as excited as we are about #Lollipop – coming to a #DROIDTurbo near you.
Motorola has not shared more information about when the update would be rolled out for the DROID Turbo, and in which Countries it will be released first.
