Xiaomi surprised the tech world by launching the edgeless smartphone MI Mix few months back which comes with zero bezels at top and sides. Xiaomi MI Mix sports a 6.4″ borderless display with 91.3% screen-to-body ratio, powered by 2.35 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB/256 GB storage running MIUI 8 operating system based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Today an alleged images of Elephone S8 is leaked which indicates that Elephone is working on a Mi Mix rival and if the leaked image is true, we may soon see a similar edgeless device. The leaked image looks identical to Mi Mix front display with only exception of the Home Button. Mi Mix got rid of home button by providing the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor instead of using the Home button to embed the fingerprint sensor. The Elephone S8 front display shows the oblong Home button at the bottom.
Elephone S8 is rumored to sport a 6 inch Full HD 1080p dual curved edge display with a curvature on the sides , both front and rear. It is expected to be powered by deca-core MediaTek Helio X27 SOC along with ARM Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It may come with 128 GB of internal storage along with main rear dual camera setup. We don’t have any clue on other technical specifications of the device or a probable launch date.
