OnePlus 5 is scheduled to globally launch their next flagship smartphone OnePlus 5 on June 20, followed by the launch in China on June 21 and in India on June 22. We have already seen an official teaser of OnePlus 5 giving us a good sneak peek into the design of the phone and confirm the horizontally aligned dual camera setup at the rear.
We are just a week aways from the official launch event. Today, Androidpure got access to some OnePlus 5 case renders which gives us a bit more sneak peek into the design of the flagship smartphone. These renders match with the official teaser of the device and we can clearly see the dual camera setup at the rear, though we did notie a variation in location of LED flash in these renders. We can see three buttons on one side, while a single button on the other. We can notice that the phone looks too thin in these renders, though we are not sure in real how thin it will be.
One of the renders reveals an IR Blaster at the top, though we are unable to find at slot for 3.5mm Audio Jack either at top or bottom. Even though we have seen contradictory reports on whether OnePlus 5 will get rid of the 3.5 mm Audio jack or not, it seems that finally, OnePlus may get rid of the audio jack with their latest flagship device.
At the bottom, we can see the USB C type port and speaker grills on both sides. If the audio jack is removed, it means that USB C type port will be used for Audio too.
Yet as these are just alleged OnePlus 5 case renders, we should wait for some official press renders to be leaked or official launch, before we can be sure of NO Audio Jack in the upcoming device. Stay tuned at Androidpure and we will keep you updated.
Update:
We also found few more images of OnePlus 5 that surfaced on Weibo which give more details about the design. These images show the device itself instead of the case renders. Have a look.
In these images also, we can not find the 3.5 mm audio jack, though Antenna lines look different from the official teaser.
Update 2
And here are some more OnePlus 5 case Render images (via, 1, 2 ), but here we can see the 3.5 mm Audio Jack. So contradictory case renders we have which means we need to wait for the official launch to know if we will get the audio jack or not.
