Oppo is set to officially unveil their new selfie focussed smartphone Oppo F5 in next few hours today at an event in Manila Philipines. Even though we have already seen anough of the design of Oppo F5 itself thanks to massive advertising by the company, we still have not known the hardware specifications of the device except that it comes with a full screen 18:9 display with features such as AI assisted Beauty mode.
Just ahead of the official launch today, Androidpure has got accessed to the hardware specifications of Oppo F5, thanks to an annonymous tipster. We can now confirm the full hardware specifications of the device except the make / model of SOC chip.
Based on the information we recieved, Oppo F5 sports a 6.0 inch FHD+ display with resolution of 2160 X 1080 pixels, powered by an Octa Core processor along with 4GB f RAM. It comes with 32 GB of internal storage along with support for expandable storage up to 256 GB with microSD card. The phone runs on ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system.
In terms of camera, it sports a 20 MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture for selfies & video calls and another 16 MP main rear camera with f/1.8 aperture. There is no dual camera module at the front as some of the rumors suggested, whivhwe at ANdroidpure had refuted sometime back.
In terms of dimensions, it measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5 mm which means that it is 7.5 mm thick. In terms of battery backup, the phone is powered by a 3200 mAh Li-Ion non removable battery.
